CLASS DESCRIPTION


108 MALA-MANTRA MEDITATION: It includes a deep introduction to meditation. It is about the chanting of a Mantra 108 times, accompanied by the sound of the cymbals and a 108 beads meditation Mala. A Mala is a string of 108 beads with one bead as the summit or head bead called a ‘sumeru.’ Malas are used as a tool to help the mind focus on meditation or count mantras in sets of 108 repetitions.

CHAIR YOGA: A class that portrays a gentle form of Yoga, practiced sitting on a chair and/or standing using the chair for support. It is a style designed for special population, such as seniors, and/ or people with some physical limitations or injuries. However, everyone is welcome to experience it. The use of the chair will help to enjoy your yoga practice with more confidence and support, allowing to take your practice slowly but surely to the next level.

CHAKRA HEALING MEDITATION: Chakras are centers of energy. To understand the universe, think in terms of frequency, energy and vibration, so do we. During this session, 432 Hz music (universal healing frequency) will be played, accompanied by the quartz singing bowl that attunes the chakras with a certain "tone" or "note" in the musical scale that promotes harmony in our bodies, followed by overall well-being and eventually the raising of the goddess Shakti that lies dormant within at the base of your spine, known as Kundalini raising or Self-Realization (Enlightenment). If you are experiencing blockages or stagnation in any of your chakras, these meditations will serve to unblock them and allow their energy to flow freely. If your chakras are experiencing a glowing flow, then these meditations will serve to enhance it, promoting healing to the nearby organs, glands and meridians (rivers of Chi).

DEEP HATHA YOGA: A practice whereby during every posture or pose (asana), we will focus on the breath, dropping our thoughts and ego, and we will stay in that asana for a total of 5 breath in each, allowing us to deepen the stretch and bringing a meditative approach to your practice (a moving meditation). We will focus in individual asanas, while increasing strength and flexibility. It starts with a sequence of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar). A way to become stronger, to shed pounds, and mainly, to align all your centers of energy.

GENTLE YOGA: This class it's appropriate to those who prefer a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. Gentle Yoga is often considered easier, less intense, non-strenuous, quiet and meditative. A class designed for those that have never practiced Yoga before. If you feel you don’t have the flexibility, coordination and strength that many photos with yoga poses in social media typically portray, this may be the right class for you. It is a class taught in a safe, effective, compassionate, non-competitive environment that welcomes you.

YANG HATHA YOGA: A fast-paced practice (Yang) with a very dynamic flow of postures (asanas), that focuses on the flow with the breath in sync with the movements from pose to pose, rather than focusing on individual poses, increasing strength and flexibility. One breath, one pose. It starts with a sequence of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar). A way to become stronger, to shed pounds, and mainly, to align all your centers of energy. This dynamic approach to Yoga has included postures that targets all of your 7 chakras (centers of energy in our body)

INNER PEACE CHANTS MEDITATION: We will be chanting together in unity to free our hearts from negative turmoil and our minds from negative thinking, to unleash our inner soulful peace from within. Lyrics in English and Sanskrit will be provided. We'll chant in sync with 432 Hz healing music frequency playing in the background. No need to have a "beautiful voice" (outside perception) for this practice. Just dive in, and feel the bliss that comes with it.

INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION: A session designed for beginners into this blissful practice. We will introduce you to meditation by explaining WHY to meditate, HOW to meditate, and the BENEFITS of meditation on the physical, emotional and the spiritual planes. We'll give you some tips as to how incorporate meditation to your daily routine, including but not limited to how to train your subconscious mind. Scientific research shows 95% or our behaviour comes from our subconscious mind. So meditation it's the best and only healthy approach to free yourself from the slavery that society has imposed on you. It is the opportunity to step out of the Matrix and free your will, allowing the Divine energy to be present in every step of your life and guide you to connect with your higher self for your greatest good. We will also give you some advise of dos and don'ts to promote the decalcification of your Pineal gland (the third eye chakra-the seat of your intuition). RESTORATIVE YOGA: This is a sequence of relaxing postures supported by props (blankets, yoga blocks bolsters, neck, eye pillows etc.) that allows the body and the mind to completely unwind, finding stillness and becoming one. Poses are held from 3 to 5 minutes (depending on your level), facilitating the opening of the major joints and the spine, by stretching beyond the fascia all the way to the connective tissues, to enhance flexibility, restoration and rejuvenation of the self, with the unavoidable sense of inner peace that flows with it from within.

STRETCH: This practice entitles slow movements flowing in harmony, that allows a full stretch of the musculoskeletal system, geared to decrease tension in the muscles and ligaments, bringing improved Range of Motion (R.O.M), promoting detox and drainage to the lymph system. No classes are the same. Some may be just classic stretch, while others may integrate some a passive poses of yoga, bringing more mindfulness to this practice. Whatever the case is, be ready to stretch not only the major joints, but the smallest ones as well. No mobile or semi-mobile joint will be left untouched in this practice.

SURYA - RESTORATIVE YOGA: We will start with a few sequences of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) active sequencing, followed by a restorative section to unwind, letting go of the stress of you hectic life. We will use props for the restorative part, aromatherapy (lavender/ peppermint) in a very relaxing atmosphere infused with the healing power of negative ions generated by salt lamps. In this class, you will be immersed in the sounds of cymbals, singing bowls, universal frequency background music 432 Hz, and other health enhancing frequencies, accompanied by health promoting positive affirmations, empowerment quotes from enlightened masters such Buddha, Osho, Jesus, among other relevant beings that left a beautiful legacy to this world.

YIN YOGA: A slow-paced style of Yoga with postures being held from 45 seconds to 2 minutes each, that applies moderate stretch to the connective tissues, the fascia, the muscles, and the ligaments to improve circulation in the joints. A mindful approach that cultivates awareness, removing muscle tension, releasing stress, and increasing the range of motion. This practice has poses that resembles animals movements and it contains exercises that belong to the different elements such as Fire, Earth, Wind and Water. It has balancing poses that are dynamic rather than still, creating and developing the challenge of the mind-body connection.
