We live in a world of duality whereby we have been taught to label (differentiate) one another. Labels such us white or black, beautiful or ugly, smart or stupid (just to name a few). We distinguish one from the other with impelling statements such I am catholic, or protestant, or muslin denominations. However, religions are like governments, a way to keep us powerless and controlled. We have been indoctrinated since childhood to set boundaries between the black and the white, between the beautiful and the ugly, the smart and the stupid, all in the name that each one of us think that we are somehow special. Here’s the good news: YES, each one of us is special and unique indeed. The bad news is: that each one of us IS NOT more special than the rest of us. We sometimes claim to be smarter, but we all are, in a certain way. We all hold talents, universal gifts, and special abilities. The point is, what are we doing with them? Are we being thankful for such abilities? Are we putting those abilities into use for the well-being of our communities, to make the world we live-in, a better place?

Spiritual awaking teaches us that we all are cells of the macro-cosmos, that we are all biologically identical, that we are all children of the Divine, that we are all spiritual beings having a human journey here on Earth, that each one of us is a small galaxy, that the human race is all interconnected. When our third eye opens, we realize that black and white are in the same scale of colors, that only in the darkness we can find the moonlight. Opening ourselves up to consciousness teaches us that real beauty lays within rather than without. As our bodies ages (decades) the natural radiance of our early ages fade away, giving a lasting effect to the inner beauty that can be portrayed to the other side, as we transition into light. By connecting with the Divine that rests within (our higher self), we understand that knowledge is not necessarily achieved through a college degree. Think of great minds that were college drop-outs, such as Ralph Lauren, Steve Jobs (just to mention a couple). Inner knowledge comes from connecting ourselves with our Pineal Gland (the seed of our intuition) and by developing the divine given skills and talents that are meant to be shared with a purpose.

We have implemented nationalities, borders, religions… WHY? In some instances, it’s all about profit and control. We must pay for a passport and visas, right? On the other hand, the best way to weaken the masses is by spreading division… this is mine, this is yours… the real thing is that the only thing we really have (that we were born with) it’s our flesh (be white, or black, or blond, or mulatto). At the end, even the flesh will be left behind, and the blood will evaporate, with no clothing, no jewelry and no assets we have accumulated throughout our lifetime. My best advice is: travel light, because we are not going to take anything with us, but the legacy we leave behind, but the print of our footsteps on this beautiful world. We’ll take with us the fulfillment of how we walked our own path. How many times we stopped to smell the roses and how many times we experienced growth from the thorny life events that we have come across. So, let’s take our time to connect with Mother Nature and its elements, to immerse ourselves in the true landscape of our being in the timeframe of our existence to sip the glory of being born and re-born. Let’s being thankful for each second that flies above our heads lifting the veil between the 3D and 5D. Let’s age gracefully and allow our fruits of existence to mature into ripeness as an extension of our own tree of life’s branches. Let’s rejoice in the bliss of being alive knowing that minutes pass by in the fragility of a flower and the short-lived ether of a butterfly.

The time has come in which we must realize that DUALITY set us for division, and that UNITY makes us strong and sets us free. Unity, Unity, Unity. Om Shanti. Peace.

We were born with a Pineal gland, which is part of our endocrine system. In the spiritual realms, the Pineal gland corresponds to the Third Eye Chakra, the seat of our intuition... remember that "gut feeling"? ... that's it!... that's your third eye into action!! It is represented by the indigo color, located in your forehead, right between your eyebrows. It is also known as Ajna Chakra in Sanskrit language, the 6th Chakra, Brow Chakra, just to name a few. From the Yogic perspective, it is the place where we transcend the duality of the third dimension (3D) we live-in, to reach the highest state of consciousness that allow us to see the world from a different perspective. M.L.K Jr. said: "Only in the darkness can you see the stars". It is the Kabbalistic principle of duality in action. When this chakra is open, we realize we are one, we are interconnected, we are one. We no longer make distinctions between opposites. We explore the multidimensional being in us, as we keep having a human experience. Once the higher state of consciousness is reached, then infinite unconditional love is experienced. Great masters that left a legacy on us, such as Buddha, Jesus, Osho, among many other transcended masters, had experienced this infinite force of love.

Here are a few steps you can take toward the blossoming of your Third Eye Chakra are:

  • Stop drinking water and using products with Fluoride. Fluoride calcifies your Pineal gland (conspiracy theory here?)
  • Meditate. Meditation allows you to quiet your mind, so your spiritual self can be heard by your conscious mind. It allows you to live more in the present moment, in the here and now. Have no doubts that what you did 24 hours ago is history, and tomorrow is promised to nobody. Life is happening right now, as you read this article.
  • Listen to 432 Hz frequency music. YouTube is plenty of this healing solfeggio. 432 Hz, is the natural frequency of the universe. Nikola Tesla said: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” As you plug your earbuds to enjoy, bring your awareness to your breath, and take your inner sight to the point between your eyebrows. You may start feeling slight pulsations at first, and as you go into your practice, it becomes very strong, like someone is twisting the skin of your forehead. Don't get discouraged if doesn't happen soon, persistence will get you there, and it takes at least 7 minutes for your brain to get entrained.
  • Do your best to exercise often, eat clean food, declutter your heart from emotional baggage, sleep well, and stay healthy.

Positive and Negative Ions are a part of an oxygen atom or a molecule. In chemistry, an atom is the smallest particle of a matter, and our universe is made of matter. We, as living organisms, are matter. Non-living organisms are matter as well. The difference between the two ions is their net electrical charge of the ion. The Positive ones has a net negative charge, and Negative ones has a net positive charge. Now let's understand the difference on how they may impact our health in a positive or a negative way.

Negative Ions are extremely beneficial to our body. Negative Ions are invisible particles, oxygen atoms with negative charged electrons. They abound in nature after storms, in the forests, mountains, shores, waterfalls, and in the atmosphere at dawn (before sunrise), hence why we feel so happy when we are at the beach or immersed in natural environments. They stimulate the release of endorphins (happiness hormones) in our bodies. Negative ions counteract the positive ions.

Positive Ions on the other hand, are very detrimental to our health. They are present in the air, mainly in polluted cities, industrial areas, confined spaces such as home and offices, due to fluorescent lights, electronic devices like televisions, cell phones, computers, toxic chemicals, air-conditioned environments, just to name a few. The load of these ions stimulates depression, anxiety, stress, allergies, inflammation, just to name a few.

So, now that you know the difference, what can you do to absorb higher amounts of negative ions in lieu of positive ones? Here are a few tips on lifestyle changes you can implement into your daily routine:

  • Get up early in the morning, open the windows and breeeeeathe
  • Detox from electronic devices. Give yourself a break and leave your phone at home every now and then (trust me, you will survive without it). I am still alive, LOL!!!
  • Buy salt lamps and negative ions generators for your home and office.
  • Avoid exposure to household chemicals
  • Go for a walk-in nature, preferably barefoot
  • Move to the country (I am looking forward to)

The self-regulating and self-healing property of our body only function when our cells are supplied with energy. Modern Western lifestyles, emotional stress, overwork, environmental pollution, poor nutrition and lack of exercise (among other factors) lead to a detrimental energy balance that impairs our metabolic process. The end results are a degenerative process, and decreased vitality, and a health decline that makes us more susceptible to infections.

With the application of BEMER Therapy (electromagnetic impulses) called Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Therapy [PEMT], the cells can produce more energy and the metabolism is activated. Bringing back to balance the harmonic functioning of our cells, enhancing our nature given inherent self-healing capabilities.

With the application of BEMER therapy, we can correct and counteract this lack of energy that lies within our bodies. It is applied by means of a mat that you lie on, while a pulsed magnetic field envelops you. It is entirely painless and free of side effects. It originated in Germany, and it has been scientifically validated in many studies, winning international Advanced Technology rewards.

Insufficient oxygen in the cells is thought to be the root cause of most illnesses including cancer. BEMER not only increases the electromagnetic energy of all the cells, it also improves the circulation and oxygenation of the tissues. The absorption of substances and the excretion of wastes are also controlled by electromagnetic energy, which, if deficient leads to poor function and ultimately cell damage. Enzymes, which are vital to metabolic processes, are activated and repair proteins are synthesized. Detoxification of cells is intensified, and the immune system is stimulated.

BEMER dilates the blood vessels, improving circulation, especially the microcirculation (which is 75% of our circulatory system). These electromagnetic pulses increase the oxygen saturation and oxygen partial pressure [ [pO2] of arterial blood.

Each treatment with the BEMER increases the pO2 by 6-8 mmHg, but this only lasts for 4 hours. If the treatments are repeated this value gradually climbs until the optimal level is reached by 4-6 weeks. If treatment is stopped the level will gradually decline over several months, but this can be maintained by exercising. Your level can be estimated by measuring your resting pulse on waking. Less than 50 beats per minutes (b.p.m) means you're in the fitness/ athlete category, 60 b.p.m indicates you have a good oxygen supply, 75 is the "average" for the majority of the population, while greater than 80 b.p.m means your cells are gasping for air.

The magnetic field also acts on the autonomic nervous system to relax and dilate blood vessels. It also produces more Nitrogen Monoxide, which dilates the capillaries, but if the magnetic field used is too intense it will have the reverse effect. This also applies if the system is very acidic [as it would be if the person is unwell or unfit], so the treatment must start at a low level and gradually build up as the energy improves.

It is being said, what we think we become. If we say/ think “I hate my Job” it becomes a Mantra that has the power to influence our existence by manifesting what is already embedded in our unconscious mind. Hence the importance of replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. By intentionally changing our perspective or attitude, it may make our daily life experience sweeter. Most of our thoughts are being “repeated”, creating a strong link to our own reality.

Chanting, speaking or thinking of certain phrases or words may intentionally sow a new seed, and repetition is like watering the seed, so a new life can sprout for the better. There are positive mantras and negative ones. Mantras are used mainly as a spiritual practice or for religious purposes. But there’s no need to be religious to start or keep meditating with positive thoughts and affirmations that will definitely re-write your life and will replace greed by generosity, hatred by love, selfishness by selfless service and so on. This way we are aiming to attain our higher self by polishing the raw diamante that is dormant within us. No need to seat still to meditate, just keeping 100% focus in every task we do and finishing every task completely from beginning to end.

As we strive living in the present moment, we may realize that it has a healing effect in our body and mind and you we will notice enhancement of our creativity pattern. OM is the universal vibration, the beginning and end, the alpha and the omega, the universal sound of water. The resonance of this sacred mantra it has a special vibrational effect in your 6th chakra (Ajna) and your 7th (Sahasrara), enhancing our intuition and connecting us to Oneness.

Here’s one my favorite Buddhist mantra: OM MANI PADME HUM

Meaning: OM – Universal Vibration | MA – Removes jealousy and establishes Ethics | NI – Establishes Patience |PAD – Establishes Perseverance | ME – Removes the attachment to possessiveness and establishes Concentration | HUM – Replaces Hatred with Wisdom

Here’s a YouTube link to this delightful mantra. Enjoy.

Is Yoga a circus or the path to Self-Realization? The word Yoga literally means “Union” and it refers to the union of the body and the mind to become a whole, and/or the union of our spiritual self with the universe. The Patanjali refers to Yoga as the neutralization of the ego into the state of oneness.

Yoga postures named asanas are one of the many paths that leads to self-realization. It is possible to practice asanas without necessarily practicing Yoga and vice versa. The only way that asanas become a toll into a yoga practice is when we observe our thoughts with the purpose of releasing them without judgement, witnessing them without attachment. It occurs only when we focus our awareness into the breath, because the breath is always happening in the present moment. Nirvana is a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and we are released from the effects of karma and the cycles of death and rebirth. To attain the state of Nirvana, we must be anchored to the present moment, not to the past (that’s history), not to the future (that’s an illusion) but to the present where your life is occurring right now!

In essence, Yoga it’s a spiritual discipline with the goal of expanding our soul into self-realization. How well a yoga posture is performed it’s irrelevant. What really matters is where our mind stays while we perform the asanas. Two different people doing the same asana do not perform them the same way, not because one is good and the other sucks (excuse my French) but because we have different bone structure and different muscle/fascia/ connective tissues stages of elasticity versus tension. Essentially, we are biologically identical, but our health and/or overall well-being may differ from each other. Two different people practicing Yoga or Asanas (or both), do not experience it the same way from the inside out either. Each one of us is unique in our very own special way. We all have different gifts and talents. We all have a purpose and our own journey full of roses (blessings) and thorns (lessons) that we must embrace and learn from.

If we practice asanas with the sole purpose of mastering the posture to perfection (even though perfection is in the eye of the beholder) and there no spiritual goal set up to be reached… think about.

Chakras were first mentioned in the Vedas (ancient Hindu texts of knowledge). The meaning of the Sanskrit word Chakra means “wheel”. There were many ancient versions of chakras in the Eastern traditions, but the most commonly develop doctrines postulate seven chakras or centers of energy. Modern physiology shows that the seven chakras correspond to the seven main nerve ganglia which emanate from the spinal column.

Chakras are whirlpools of energy that regulate the flow of conciourness into and from the human body; containing the spiritual information of the soul. There are seven major chakras and probably around 21 minor ones and others smaller ones that coincide with many acupuncture points.

These seven major wheels are aligned from the based of the spine to the top of the head and it appears their movement create the aura that envelops the human body and each chakra correspond with one of the 7 layers of the aura.

Chakras spin at different speeds and each one emits a different vibrational frequency. They provide energy to metabolic, glandular, nervous, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, immune and musculoskeletal systems. The front of each chakra it is related to our emotional functions. The top two chakras (Third Eye and Crown) belong to our intuitive and spiritual plane (5D). Those above the diaphragm in general are linked not only with the spirituality but with our creativity and expression as well. While others below the diaphragm are more attuned to the physical plane of existence (3D)

The sound of singing bowls can have a healing result on an individual and can be used therapeutically. They are connected to the major chakras based on the Buddhist Tantric System. Chakras can be referred to as 'power engines' of the body. Each chakra has distinct components and corresponds with a certain tone of the musical scale. The notes of the singing bowls correspond with each of the major chakras. Maintaining these “engines” in harmony promotes well-being at the physical, emotional and spiritual planes of the self.

1st CHAKRA: The Root chakra or Muladhara (in Sanskrit) is located at the base of the spine. It relates to problems of survival, self-preservation, energies in the physical body and drive. Its color is Red, and its musical note is C. Corresponding parts of the body: Spinal Column, Legs, Feet, Kidney, Rectum, Immune system, Blood and Bladder. Affirmations: I am safe here. I trust the wisdom of my body.

2nd CHAKRA: The Sacral chakra or Svadhisthana (in Sanskrit). It’s 1 to 2 inches below the navel. Its color is Orange, and the musical note is D. It opens us to the world around us. A well balanced Sacral chakra increases our zest for life and emotional stability. Corresponding parts of the body: Sex organs, Skin, Stomach, Liver, Spleen, Gallbladder, Kidney, Bladder, Pancreas, Upper intestines and Middle spine. Affirmations: I derive pleasure from my life. Affirmation: Divinity resides within and around me.

Where Fitness and Oneness meet ℠

“When this body has been so magnificently and artistically created by God, it is only fitting that we should maintain it in good health and harmony by the most excellent and artistic science of Yoga.” Geeta Iyengar, daughter of B. K. S.
